Product Description

Grade 316/316L is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. The higher nickel and molybdenum content in this grade allows it to demonstrate better overall corrosion resistant properties than 304, especially with regard to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. In addition, Alloy 316/ 316L provides excellent elevated temperature tensile, creep and stress-rupture strengths, as well as outstanding formability and weldability. 316L is the lower carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization; therefore, it is very frequently used in heavy gauge welded components.

Socket welds and threaded pipe supports are commonly used connection methods in piping systems. Socket welded pipe fittings are a connection method by inserting pipe fittings into the main pipe and welding them in place. This connection method is usually used in pipes smaller than DN50. The threaded branch pipe seat is fixed on the pipe through a threaded connection. The threaded branch pipe seat is usually used for DN80 pipes. Socket welded pipe fittings are suitable for applications that require high-strength connections and long-term stability, such as industrial pipelines, oil and gas transmission pipelines, etc. Threaded branch pipe holders are suitable for occasions that require frequent replacement or maintenance, such as household gas pipelines, small industrial equipment, etc.
